FIFA World Cup 2022 Schedule

FIFA World Cup 2022 will be the 22nd edition of world's biggest sport tournament and that too by quite some margin. This year's competition is special in so many ways. It is taking place for the very first time in Middle-East. Qatar will host what is the most expensive World cup to date considering how much money Qatar had to invest both in terms of the bid also in terms of infrastructure in Stadiums and facilities around the tournament. This will be the very first time that tournament is taking place in Winter which means club football will be halted during the world cup. 

World Cup 2022 Match Schedule:

So we decided to bring together the entire tournament schedule and how and when the matches will be played. Here is the official dates and fixutes for the upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup.Unlike the previous tournaments, this year matches will be played much more frequently making sure the tournament ends in less then a month.

• Group Stage will see first match played on Friday, 20th November 2022 which will be followed by atleast 4 matches every day till 02 December.
• The knockout Stages of the tournament begins with the round fo 16 where 8 knockout ties will be played over 4 days. 2 matches each from 3rd to 6th December. 
• Quarterfinals will be taking place on 07 and 08th December. That is two matches each day.
• The semifinal stage will see match 1 on 13th December followed by match 2 on 14th December.
• Last set of matches include third place playoff (between semifinal losing sides) on 17th December followed by the big final on Sunday, 18th December 2022.
